General Information AGE Participants should register according to their age as of 12/31/12. The age groups are: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79,
80-84, 85-89, 90-94, CONFIRMATION A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you after your entry is received. If you do not have an e-mail address, you will receive confirmation by a phone call. Allow a week for processing. HOTEL INFORMATION - Coming Soon CHECK-IN TIMES & EVENT SCHEDULING Participants must check-in at the Minnesota Senior Games Headquarters in the Johnson Alumni Room within the Taylor Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato. A commemorative t-shirt, goodie bag, schedule, map and other important information will be provided at check-in. Participants should be at their event venue 15 minutes prior to the starting time, as listed on the schedule. Participants are allowed and encouraged to enter more than one event, but do so at their own risk as schedule changes cannot be made to accommodate sports that occur simultaneously. Please plan accordingly. CANCELLATIONS / POSTPONEMENTS / REFUNDS In the event of inclement weather or unusual/extenuating circumstances, Senior Game Officials reserve the right to change the format of the competition, postpone events, or cancel. Refunds will only be given due to inclement weather. Refunds will only be granted if requested prior to May 1, 2012. AWARDS Medals will be presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age category at the event venue. The Minnesota Senior Games are “OPEN” to out-of-state residents. Competition must take place to determine and award winner. If there is only one individual entered in an age group, that athlete must enter and complete the event in order to receive a medal. That athlete will be placed in closest age category to compete with, but not against those athletes. NATIONAL SENIOR GAMES The 2012 Minnesota Senior Games will be be a qualifying year for the National Senior Games. The 2013 National Senior Games are scheduled to take place in Cleveland, Ohio July 25 – August 4, 2013 For more information on this summer’s Minnesota Senior Games, please contact Paige Schuette, at 507.385.6660 REGISTRATION DEADLINE There will be no day-off registration. Registration needs to done online by the 25th or postmarked the 25th or we will not accept them. The registration fee will include up to 5 events (track and field are considered 1 and so is swimming? There will be an additional $5 fee for competing in each events 6 and higher. $32 May 1st, 2012 or before and $37 after May 1, 2012 REGISTRATION FEE includes athlete participation in unlimited sports, socials and a t-shirt. Fees also support a portion of the cost of conducting the games, including medals, supplies, venue fees, printing, etc. ADDITIONAL FEES: Golf: $30 for 18 holes and cart at North Links Golf Course. Celebration of Athletes Banquet, Saturday, June 2, 2012 is $20 per ticket. These fees are necessary because of additional costs for these activities. These fees are payable with MN Senior Games entry fees.
