Participants should register according to their age as of 12/31/20

Age groups are: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99

Check-in Times / Event Scheduling

Registration and packet pick-up will be open from Thursday - Saturday 7am- 3pm and Sunday 7am-10am at the Whitney Rec Center in St. Cloud. All participants must check-in prior to arriving at their specific sporting event for competition. You will get the information you need and t-shirts at the packet pick-up.

Participants should be at their event venue 15 minutes prior to the starting time. Participants are allowed and encouraged to enter more than one event, but do so at their own risk as schedule changes cannot be made to accommodate sports that occur simultaneously. Please plan accordingly.

Sport Specific Event Information

Sports offered: Archery, Badminton, 3 on 3 basketball, Bowling, Cycling-Road Race, Cycling Time Trial, Golf, Horseshoes, Pickleball, Power Walk, Race Walk, Racquetball, Running 5k/10k, Shuffleboard, Swimming, Softball, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field and Volleyball.

Cancellations / Postponements / Refunds

In the event of inclement weather or unusual/extenuating circumstances, Senior Game officials reserve the right to change the format of the competition, postpone events, or cancel. Refunds will be considered on a case by case basis by the local organizing committee of the 2020 MN Senior State Games. Refund requests must be submitted with a formal request letter including explanation for refund request to 1411 West St Germain Street Suite 104 St. Cloud, MN 56301. Not all refund requests are guaranteed for refund.


Medals will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age category at the event venue. The Minnesota Senior Games are open to out-of-state residents.

Competition must take place to determine and award winner. If there is only one individual entered in an age group, that athlete must enter and complete the event in order to receive a medal. That athlete will be placed in closest age category to compete with, but not against, those athletes.

Qualifying for Nationals

The 2019 Games will be a great year to start improving your skills for the 2020 MN Senior Games in St. Cloud which will be a qualifying year for the National Senior Games in 2021.

Registration Deadline

There will be no day-of registration. Registration needs to done online or by mail. Online registration closes at midnight on July 17, 2020 and paper registrations must be postmarked by July 17, 2020. The registration fee includes up to five events (track and field is considered one and so is swimming). There will be an additional $5 fee per sport for competing in more than five events.
