Participants should register according to their age as of 12/31/16

Age groups are: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89


A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you after your entry is received. You will be required to have an email address on your account to proceed with the registration. If you do not have an email address you can create a new free Gmail account by clicking on this link.

Check-in Times / Event Scheduling

Registration and packet pick-up will open daily at 7am at the Whitney Center location.  All participants must check-in at the Whitney Center prior to arriving at their specific sporting event for competition. 

Participants should be at their event venue 15 minutes prior to the starting time. Participants are allowed and encouraged to enter more than one event, but do so at their own risk as schedule changes cannot be made to accommodate sports that occur simultaneously. Please plan accordingly.

Cancellations / Postponements / Refunds

In the event of inclement weather or unusual/extenuating circumstances, Senior Game Officials reserve the right to change the format of the competition, postpone events, or cancel.  Refunds will be considered on a case by case basis by the local organizing committee of the 2016 MN Senior State Games.  Refund requests must be submitted with a formal request letter including explanation for refund request to MSG LOC, Attn: St. Cloud CVB, 1411 West St. Germain St., Ste 104, St. Cloud, MN 56301.  Not all refund requests are guaranteed for refund.


Medals will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age category at the event venue. The Minnesota Senior Games are open to out-of-state residents.

Competition must take place to determine and award winner. If there is only one individual entered in an age group, that athlete must enter and complete the event in order to receive a medal. That athlete will be placed in closest age category to compete with, but not against, those athletes.

2016 Minnesota Senior Games

This is a qualifying year for Nationals in 2017.


Registration Deadline

There will be no day-of registration. Registration needs to done online by May 2, 2016 or postmarked May 2, 2016. The registration fee includes up to 5 events (track and field is considered 1 and so is swimming). There will be an additional $5 fee per sport for competing in more than 5 events.


Additional Fees

There will be addtional fees for bowling, golf, and shooting which will be paid on site.
